From your hand to your desktop.

PhoneMirror connects a dedicated Android sender to a Windows receiver. It gives the phone screen more room for a demonstration, a shared view or simply a larger display, without root or USB debugging.

The Android app captures the screen with system permission and encodes video in hardware. The Windows receiver displays the stream, supports full-screen viewing and can play audio from applications that allow playback capture.

The details that make it useful.

01

Choose the balance.

Fluid, Balanced and Clear profiles offer different resolution and bitrate targets. Adaptive bitrate responds to network pressure within the phone encoder’s limits.

02

Sound beside the picture.

Optional app audio travels on its own channel. The Windows audio path buffers short network bursts and smooths playback interruptions.

03

A receiver made for viewing.

Use the Windows window, keep it on top, or enter full screen with F11 or a double-click. Return to the window with Escape.

04

Know what is happening.

The receiver separates phone, transmitted, decoded and displayed frame rates, with connection diagnostics available in its log.

From phone to PC, in three steps.

  1. 01

    Start the receiver.

Open PhoneMirror on Windows and use the displayed local address, port and pairing code.

  2. 02

    Share from Android.

Connect the Android app to that receiver, allow screen capture and choose whether to include supported app audio.

  3. 03

    Settle into the bigger view.

Select a quality profile and open the receiver full screen. Stop sharing from either device when finished.

Built with purpose.

Before you explore.

Do the devices need internet access?

The phone and PC need to reach each other on the same local network. Internet access is not required for the stream.

Does it send every app’s audio?

Audio playback capture depends on Android permissions and the source application’s policy. Some apps restrict what can be captured.

Is the PC controlling the phone?

This project presents screen and supported audio sharing from Android to Windows. The receiver is designed for viewing, rather than remote input control.
